UCC Connection
St. John's UCC is a member of the United Church of Christ. We are devoted to the commitments of the UCC. As a community of faith centered in Jesus Christ, we seek guidance and direction through the Holy Spirit in demonstrating God's love to all people in words and deeds.
We further affirm our dedication to the principles of the United Church of Christ as:
- Christian (Declaring ourselves to be a part of the body of Christ)
- Reformed (Confessing the authority of one triune God)
- Congregational (Covenanting emphasizing trustful relationships rather than legal agreements)
- Evangelical (Sharing the Good News of God's love revealed with power in Jesus Christ)
While we practice responsible freedom as individual members, to believe and act in accordance with our perception of God's will for our lives, we are called to live in a loving covenantal relationship with one another – gathering in communities of faith, congregations of believers and local churches.
